I haven't reached 5000 posts on MozillaZine yet, but I am finally a moderator (on probation). Ever since AOL blew Netscape out of the water, the forums seem to be more active. I'm not the only new person. There are at least 6 others and we're restricted to the newbie forums for now. Not that I plan to do a whole lot. I mostly want to be able to move threads to the correct forums. I don't read the Seamonkey or Thunderbird threads. I don't use the products, so I won't have many answers. Keeping up-to-date on the other threads can be pretty time consuming as it is.
In case you haven't noticed, Firebird 0.6.1 is out. I'll be editing a copy and renaming it to Phoenix 0.6.1 for a friend. So far, I haven't hit any snags with 0.6.1, so it looks like it is time to update all my other computers from 6/11.
Themes are getting messier. The skinVersion was bumped from 1.2 to 1.5, and of course 1.5 isn't downwards compatible and 1.2 isn't upwards compatible. Firebird 0.6.1 uses skinVersion 1.2, but nightly builds (based on Seamonkey 1.5b ... I think I'll start calling that GRE 1.5b) need the new themes. About a dozen have already been updated, I think, and http://themes.mozdev.org has a browser detector that can make the distinction. Firebird Help and Thunderbird Help, however, aren't smart enough yet. Part of that stems from my laziness to whip up some new javascript. On the other hand, we really need to start using a centralized database anyways and djst is willing to have his site run php.
