Call Me Al

My MozBlog

I came across a NewsForge article about favorite desktop apps. I was pleased to see Mozilla on there. I was even happier to see that Firebird made it on there. Since I don't use Linux other than as a firewall, I'll just make a list of my favorite apps in general, in no particular order.

  • Notepad (for Win2k/XP, where it has search and replace)
  • Mozilla Firebird (with DOMI, of course)
  • Quicken (where did all my money go?)
  • nano (I like simplicity)
  • Trillian (though I've heard good things about Gaim)

Having to use MS Office, Lotus Notes, and VPN software for work keep me from just reformatting. I'll probably change to dual boot once I get around to installing my new hard drive. But I've been very happy with Win2k ever since I got this machine 3 years ago.
