The release of Firefox 2.0 is about a month away. Firefox 3.0 is a year away. Personally, I'm very happy with Firefox 1.5. But I wanted to know what was new. I've been around long enough to know to head over to The Burning Edge. Jesse has a list of notable changes for Firefox 2.0 and 3.0.
I've read over the changes for 2.0 and see nothing that makes me feel the need to change from 1.5 to 2.0. The changes for 3.0, especially the switch to Cairo, will be more compelling. Come find me in a year and I'll let ya know.
