Call Me Al

My MozBlog

It has been about a month since Mozilla Update changed from version 0.9 to version 1.0. It has also been about a month since we stopped updating the site, including the listings.

Scott Kveton has taken over as project owner. Before we can really move forward, we need to establish where we are. We're spending time documenting the site, checking for bugs, and figuring out where the site is going. Our goal is to provide a site that lives up to the Mozilla.org name. So while many people think the site is at a standstill, we're analyzing our options and working up a design that will be scalable and secure.

Meanwhile, you can visit The Extensions Mirror.

I use Pinball theme with Firefox.

It's clean, crisp...

But I keep looking for bigger icons. The size is fine on my monitor when I am docked, but too small on my 12" laptop screen.

It would be most cool if there were a couple of larger sizes.

Also a Print Preview button would be great.
Sounds like people are correct to think that the site is at a standstill, even if there is stuff going on which doesn't affect the live site directly.

What's unfortunate is that we had a month or so of effective standstill on the 0.9 version before getting to 1.0. Hopefully the next move forward will be the beginning of a smooth and continuous movement, rather than another jerk forward followed by a month or two of being stalled.

"We" can certainly visit the Extensions Mirror, but UMO is linked from within the app and whatever appears there is what most people will see, whether it lives up to the mozilla.org name or lets the name down.
